Some classics will simply live on, from generation to generation, including The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, which we reviewed for readers HERE in early December.
NOVEMBER 2007 GEMS:

While looking for classic Christmas tales with a modern twist, we fell in love with the Toot & Puddle tale Let It Snow by Holly Hobbie and the cult classic The Snowman by Raymond Briggs which for the first time was published with words this holiday season. We reviewed them for readers HERE.

Local authors often struggle to get their great work scene by the masses. We discovered two true West Coast gems while going local with our reading in November. We reviewed Timmy the West Coast Tug by Jeremy Moray, illustrated by Dee Gale as well as Salmon Boy by Donna Joe, illustrated by Charlie Craigan HERE.
OCTOBER 2007 GEMS:
Monsters kicked off our first Rainy-Day Book Club review when we discovered A Field Guide to Monsters: Googly-Eyed Wart Floppers, Shadow-Casters, Toe Eaters, and Other Creatures by Johan Olander.
